Tuition & Financial
Mind Orbit Academy is a private K–12 school built for families who want strong academics and real-world readiness. Your child gets a custom-built Intelligent Learning Coach—adaptive, 1-on-1 coaching for the online environment with custom tutorials and progress tracking, overseen by human teachers. Elective pathways (Technology, Business, Science, Education, and more) and annual capstones are included, all online, with the flexibility to learn from anywhere.
Tuition and payment information is below. For how students progress (mastery-based pacing, acceleration, graduation requirements), see Academics. Información en español (resumen).
Mind Orbit Academy uses tuition rates in line with typical private online K–12 programs. Annual tuition by grade (including kindergarten) and grade band, plus a 12‑month payment option, are shown below. Kindergarten shares the elementary rate with grades 1–5. Fee schedules (e.g., application, technology) are published by the Academy and provided upon request.
| Grade level | Annual tuition | Monthly plan |
|---|---|---|
| Kindergarten (K) | $9,500 | $792 × 12 months |
| Grades 1–5 | $9,500 | $792 × 12 months |
| 6–8 | $11,500 | $959 × 12 months |
| 9–12 | $14,500 | $1,208 × 12 months |
For the most current information, prospective families may contact the Academy.
Tuition is set by grade band and covers the full program for that band. The table below shows what one year typically covers. We are mastery-based: students advance when they meet standards, and early graduation is possible. Tuition is for the year and the program—faster progress or early graduation does not reduce or refund the annual tuition. For progression model, acceleration, graduation requirements, and program outlines, see Academics.
| Grade band | Annual tuition | What one year covers |
|---|---|---|
| Kindergarten (K) | $9,500 | Full kindergarten program for one year: early literacy and numeracy, science and social studies readiness. Progress by mastery; instructional hours documented (no Carnegie credits). |
| Grades 1–5 | $9,500 | Full elementary program for one grade: ELA, math, science, social studies, with one capstone or project each year (Grades 1–5). Progress by mastery; hours documented for accountability (no Carnegie credits). |
| 6–8 | $11,500 | Full middle school course load: ~4 credits per year (≈12 over 3 years; target 14–16). All courses and credit progression included. |
| 9–12 | $14,500 | Full high school course load: ~5.5–6.5 credits per year (minimum 22 to graduate; target 24–26+). All courses and progression to graduation included. |
Credits follow the Carnegie unit (1 credit ≈ one full-year course, ~120 hours). Full requirements: curriculum and policy document.
Private pay: After enrollment is processed, families sign in and use Pay to purchase access by grade with a card—annual or monthly plans where offered. Access to that grade's learning pages is tied to an active entitlement in our system (same flow whether you paid through checkout or we activated you another way).
Academy-approved access: Some families receive access arranged by the Academy—for example scholarship, invoice, wire, or staff-approved grant. If that applies to you, we activate the correct grades after approval; you don't need to complete Stripe checkout unless we ask you to.
